Benjamin Matthew Walton

Ben Walton is a team needs centered software developer. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Science. He has spent his last Semester studying Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrück in Germany. After he finished his studies he moved to Berlin, working as a Java developer for the internationalization of retail software at GK Software SE. There he had the chance to take part in team driven improvement processes as they transitioned to SCRUM development. He is passionate about motion technology and machine learning. He has designed and developed graphical programs that assist choreographers in both artistic composition and productivity. He has a strong background in Object- and Aspect-Oriented Programming with experience in procedural, functional, and logical languages. He was a year’s worth of experience working as a Software Co-Op in the transportation and aerospace industries. As president of Vis Viva Dance Company, he helped produce a showcase of over 40 dancers each semester. He danced professionally in Boston with Rainbow Tribe the dance company. In Germany he learned about Nonviolent Communication (NVC), which gave a deeper language to his compassion for others.
